Charlie Company, 4/3 11th LIB 2013 Reunion

We have received your name as a member of The Old Guard Unit, Charlie Company 4-3-11. To date, my wife and I have 244 names. We are
trying to update our membership list to include everyone in our company who served in Vietnam between 1967-1972. Each time we meet we find
new people and everyone enjoys sharing pictures and stories. We hope to have a complete updated list by March 1, 2013, so we can make a new
directory including email addresses, home addresses, and telephone numbers. Please include your spouse's and children's names. Send to
romaharris70@aol.com or mail the information to me (Robert L. Harris, 4009 Green Valley Road, New Albany, IN, 47150). If you want this
information kept private let us know. We'll include your name in our directory, but omit the other information. Please pass this letter
along to your Army buddies who may not be on our list, and have them send the information to me. The next reunion is Sept. 12-16 at the
Hyatt Resort in Washington, D.C. at Dulles. Check our website.

Old Guard Association 2013 TOGA Reunion
October 2-6, 2013
The Old Guard 2013 Reunion will be held at at the host hotel headquarters, at the Sheraton Hotel in Pentagon City, at 900 So. Orme St., Arlington, VA, on October 2-6, 2013. Our 2013 Reunion speaker is Mr. Paul Bucha, a Viet Nam Medal of Honor recipient. Rooms are going fast, so register now to attend!
Americal Division Unit Patch
The Americal Division is the only army infantry division to be formed outside the continental United States. The Americal division
is also the only named army Division. All other army divisions have a number designation. The army later added the number designation
of the 23rd Infantry Division to the Americal title. The four stars represent the constellation Crux. Crux is referred to as; 'The
Southern Cross'. The Americal Division motto is 'Under the Southern cross'. The patch has been worn in combat by Americal Division
veterans who served in the Pacific theatre during WWII and by veterans of the Vietnam War.
This patch (above) is symbolic of the 'Jungle Warriors' of the 11th Light Infantry Brigade. The 11th LIB consisted of the following units:
The 3/1, who declare themselves to be, 'Always First'
The 1/20, who carry the name, ‘Sykes Regulars'
The 4/3, who are 'The Old Guard'
The 4/21, are 'The Gimlets'
